Nexus 7 - Watsapp - Device not compatible...!!!

Hello,

Imagine the world now without connectivity to social networking.

Imagine the world now without access to facebook, twitter, whatsapp !!
This was always a thought in my mind, if I buy a device and that will not let me install whatsapp ....and believe me yesterday encountered one similar situation. A friend of mine bought one Nexus 7 and was configuring her device.

Suddenly she screamed.. !! ( Ahh! common with girls though..;) )

When asked for the reason she said "Play store says this device is not compatible to install whatsapp !". End of the world....!!!

Seems unusual to me at first, within few seconds it struck, Nexus do not have voice calling or SMS facility and while installing whatsapp , it need to access call or grab the security code from SMS. Obvious security stuffs..with increasing social media it has to be secured.

Remember the iCloud incident "Pictures stolen from devices of famous actors and actresses..". I am sure no body wants to get hacked..

But she needs it...somehow..grr..ANYHOW else Nexus 7 will be a waste for her...she was a daring.*..

How..??

IOS 8 hotspot RIP....is it really true??

Updating something is always risky. Some new features added, existing feature removed, bugs, new tricks blah blah...

Still we update our devices to be on the race of advancing technologies.

Recently we have the IOS 8 updates...and it's the update of apple...so we must expect some good and cool features added in this..but we do not get what we expect always..and this time apple has given a shock by removing the feature to HOTSPOT. No more sharing of internet from IOS devices.. ;(

Wait!! Possible with just a tweak...

Follow this and get connected to IOS using WIFI!! Tested and Verify in Ipad Mini.

  • Go to Cellular Data on iPad.
  • Move to APN setting tab
  • Enter into the Personal Hotspot
  • Fill the username and password field with anything you want with. Do remember though.
  • Tap the Cellular Data button.
  • Enter again into the APN setting tab and here you go...Hotspot is up as we have in ios7.

Hope this will help you find the hidden treasure of Personal Hotspot in Ios 8..

Enjoy IOS 8.. :)

Thanks

Recovering Sticky Note after closing it...

Sticky notes...a powerful piece of application and package shipped with all Microsoft box. Everyone use it day to day basis I assume..
We keep information, notes, links, minutes of meeting blah blah...

What will happen when we accidentally close the application...?

Is there any way to bring the closed note back on to your screen...No...ahh!!

Do you means we lose all data we saved there? Do you mean i lost all information I jotted on that note...shit...

Okay relax, there is a way, but if you are lucky enough.. :)

Please tell me...

Here it goes :

  • Go to the windows installation directory. (Most of the case C:/)
  • Go to Users, then move on to the folder with the user name of the computer.
  • Go to AppData folder (NB: This is a hidden folder, make sure to show the hidden folder option in Organize-> Folder Options)
  • Open the Roaming -> Microsoft -> Sticky Notes.
  • There you can see a file named as 'StickyNotes.snt'.
  • Right click on it...select the option 'Restore Previous Versions'.
  • As I said if you are lucky and your keep restores points option is active, you will see a list of restore points.
  • Select the latest restore point saved and click on restore. (Make sure to close the application before restoring.)

Hope this will help you in case you closed...and in future if something has happened do not freak out and search...there must be some way to make it right...These things are not of their own...we made it and we can break it..

Happy Coding. . .

A weekend of my life : A software engineer

A weekend of my life : A software engineer.

Friday : 22:00 hours : At desk.

TGIF!!!
Finally will be getting some time for myself. This is the first thought comes in mind of all techies working in industries that produces a bunch of meaningful codes sometimes well secured and well maintained which will be used by industries handling business. Oh! That's us “Software engineers”..!!

Its time to seat back and relax after deploying the latest developed codes at client's end. When I was just about to leave suddenly somebody called over and screamed, “Hey! Its not working here, please have a look and fix this asap”.... you might have guessed it, that is my beloved friend tester, Oops!! Sorry “QA analyst” seating at client's end, just came in to office and gave orders like my boss. Finally (hope so) after warping up everything its time to call it a day at 22:22 hours. Anyhow, its the beginning of an weekend that still keeping me in the loop.

Hoping for a great Friday night, shutting down my system....

Saturday : 11:32 hours : Bed.

Last night was just on top of all....movie, dinner, drinks and late night drives on national highways. Nothing can me more wonderful then this. All pain of weekdays went out in air. I wished every night would be like this. After a long nap, its a normal day again. I can bet on this “The excitement we have for the weekends on Friday reduces on Saturday morning...”.
Gathering all the energies, started searching for the cell phone and then ignoring the missed call of last night called my sweetheart, but much to my fortune, she did not receive the call, which always took away remaining doziness. Somehow, keeping my displeasure of her not receiving my call went to attend all other stuffs. Suddenly time passed, its just stroke 2 O'clock. Huh!! Time passes so rapidly during weekends.

Hoping for a great Saturday evening, hibernating my system....

Saturday : 18:49 hours : Bed.

Its always true, day nap are always a power nap. I did not noticed when I went into the world of dreams after having lunch and its but half past after 6 O'clock in my watch. Its the annoying missed call vibration alert that helped breaking my slumber, but the anger on that piece of device fades away when it showed me 6 missed call from the name i have in my heart always, messages in watsaap “Please receive...and more messages which i can not share...” as if giving the best available excuse. I called her instantaneously and this time she received and greets me with the sweetest “Hey!!”. I could not say a word, that is the magic done by the person whom you admire a lot.
Talking to a person you want, always make your day. It was a small conversation and hanged up with a promise to talk during nights. Its time for some hot drinks...ahh....its tea!!

Hoping for a great Saturday night, shutting down my system...

Saturday : 23:59 hours : #*$%

Just in...Movie...Clubbing...Dance...........now bed time and sweet talks..

Hoping for a great Sunday....Shutting down my system...

Sunday : 15:45 hours : On my table

Ufff....Mission accomplished... Must be wondering what mission...went to bed hoping for sweet talks..then.....hunn?. Mission was to messing up with already messed up room and to keep them in a presentable manner knowing that it will be more messed up by end of the next week. Did a hell lot of physical work today... All must be having a smile on there face now...right ?? but that’s the reality, we left doing physical works long after getting the designation as software engineer, its very difficult to get scope to do physical works. Jokes apart, with every seconds passing, a wonderful weekend passes away. Few more hours after which we have to seat on the same chair in front of same system, reading requirement and breaking heads writing codes to make client wish done in our hands.
Now time to get into the mindset of working hard for next 5 days. Having a short conversation with parents and you know, moving to bed.

Comes the end of the weekend with the end of my journey through it.

Hoping for a normal Monday....Shutting down my system.....
