Hello,
Imagine the world now without connectivity to social networking.
Imagine the world now without access to facebook, twitter, whatsapp !!
This was always a thought in my mind, if I buy a device and that will not let me install whatsapp ....and believe me yesterday encountered one similar situation. A friend of mine bought one Nexus 7 and was configuring her device.
Suddenly she screamed.. !! ( Ahh! common with girls though..;) )
When asked for the reason she said "Play store says this device is not compatible to install whatsapp !". End of the world....!!!
Seems unusual to me at first, within few seconds it struck, Nexus do not have voice calling or SMS facility and while installing whatsapp , it need to access call or grab the security code from SMS. Obvious security stuffs..with increasing social media it has to be secured.
Remember the iCloud incident "Pictures stolen from devices of famous actors and actresses..". I am sure no body wants to get hacked..
But she needs it...somehow..grr..ANYHOW else Nexus 7 will be a waste for her...she was a daring.*..
How..??
Here is the answer..
1) Grab the watsapp APK from this link.
Do not worry, it the official link to download watsapp as installer.
2) I guess you already have one file browser. Browser to the folder where you had stored the apk file. Tap on it to install it.
3) Once the installation is completed you can see the watsapp activation screen.
Till now one portion is over..
4) Now comes the main step, Activation of watsapp.
5) Give your mobile number that is actually in a working phone or tablet which can receive call or SMS.
6) Once the message has been sent to your mobile, watsapp will wait for the automatic grabbing of CODE from SMS. But we Nexus 7 do not have this facility, it wil fail. Then resend the code. This time you will get one SMS code on your mobile or tablet(which receives SMS!).
7) Get the code and activate Watsapp. Bingo!! Connect with your friends and enjoy chatting.
Hope this seven steps will help you.
Thanks
Sovan
